A service vital for upholding cultural traditions and religious obligations

At AFI Corp, we understand the profound impact that support and compassion can have on communities, especially during challenging times. Our flagship CSR initiative, AFI Cares, is testament to our commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of Sri Lankans.

In the quaint agricultural town of Kantale, nestled in the eastern part of Sri Lanka, lies a small Muslim community. In times of sorrow, its Janaza Welfare Society stands as a beacon of solace, providing invaluable support to families dealing with loss. Their noble mission includes ensuring dignified transportation for the departed, a service vital for upholding cultural traditions and religious obligations.

However, the society faces a significant challenge due to the migration of villagers for work, necessitating the transportation of bodies from distant centers such as Trincomalee, Batticaloa, Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura and Jaffna. Recognizing the pressing need for a dedicated vehicle, we stepped in to contribute to the society's fund, furthering their progress in purchasing of a vehicle specially designed for this purpose.

Our journey with AFI Cares continues and we are excited to embark on more AFI Cares projects to create positive change in communities across Sri Lanka.
