AFI started their first year as the Platinum Sponsor of Summa Rugby in 2025 through AFI Cares, our flagship Corporate Social Responsibility initiative. While searching for a potential beneficiary, the Summa Rugby team came as a surprising yet fateful discovery.

Coming from an underprivileged school, the team initially faced extreme hardship producing results due to scarcity of resources. Their positive outlook and hardworking nature impressed AFI to sponsor the team during a period when no other external parties were stepping in.

Our efforts surpassed a simple sponsorship. From the proud unveiling of the team’s jersey, attending every match, conducting interviews, producing videos, facilitating press releases — to hosting the team to a dinner at The Kingsbury Hotel, AFI remained committed to standing alongside the players, both on and off the field.

The journey of Summa Rugby stands as a testament to resilience and the transformative impact that meaningful support can create within communities.
